Sharing our Companionship Reading

Hello to all -
It is a rainy morning & we are getting ready to go to Church. I have the sound of the hymns in the background (courtesy of the tapes Karyn gave me years ago) so there a lovely atmosphere in our home. Something I'd like to share with you from our companionship study that really registered with me is the following: "We should cultivate a meek, quiet & peaceable spirit.(Joseph Smith)......'The meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace (Psalms 37:11)' ....the meek person is one who controls his or her emotions, one who demonstrates poise under pressure and provocation, and one who is also strong and valiant. ...Only the meek, those who have dispelled the noise within themselves, will know peace forever more. The Lord's promise is sure: 'Learn of me, listen to my words, walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me'. (D/C 19:23)" ...............

Good Luck to all.
Love,
Grannie
