Schneiders off to wedding

"Three Lovlies"

June happenings at Oeming Rd

Hello All-
A HOT Sabbath day! But we are experiencing summer, so we won't complain.
Grandpa is kept busy watering the flower pots on the deck. They are beginning to look lovely after the cold windy spring we have had. Can't believe that 2008 is half over! What have we really done? One thing-Grandpa is over his cold & I have abandoned my crutches, my cane, and although a bit wobbly I was able to walk to the podium at Sacrament Meeting to offer the closing prayer. I still use my walking stick when we go out for our walks - now in the early morning when it is so fresh. Grandpa found another walking path so we are glad for a new venture.
We have attended the Temple 2X this month - which has been quite a feat for me. Hope that I will be able to return as an ordinance worker - but I still find it hard to be on my feet for too long a time.
We hosted a BBQ & Potluck for our FHE evening group. I had organized some activities so everyone appeared very happy to have attended.
The Schneiders arrived for the wedding of OJ's niece so we had them visit for several days. Rachel wanted me to teach her Ukrainian cooking. We had a good time learning how to make borsch, holubsti, nalysnyky, nachynka, fruit compote. She was a real trouper & we made a special dinner out of our labors for OJ, Coleen, Lindsay, John, G & G & of course Rachel. (dooze smachna) (very tasty)
Lindsay stayed an extra day so we were able to have a good heart to hear as well as a brunch on the deck.
We hope some of you will put us on your holiday plans - just let us know in advance.
We were happy to attend a BBQ at the Thompsons - Jason's convocation. Also had the Schneiders for dessert John's convocation. Congratulations to you both.
Love to all
