Hugo's basketball team

Grannie's Christmas Crafts

Oeming Road Happenings

Hello All readers -
I'd like to share some of the highlights that have transpired since my last posting.
We've had a few visitors - the Schneiders: Coleen, OJ, Rachel. The parents drove up in their van. Rachel flew up a few days later to join them. They stayed at our house. Coleen did a few household chores, OJ connected our DVD in the family room - so we will be able to use the TV to view some of the DVDs that I have. The latest one I got is Amazing Grace - which is just very interesting. We visited some of the places in England on our last visit there - we were actually in John Newton country. Karyn & Jim visited - but they stayed with the Fixsens. They celebrated Katie's birthday party. Jim went with Grandpa & Hu to watch Hugo play community basketball. He is a good player.
Karyn & I had a good visit.
The latest news of my knee & back problem is this. I have to wait for 6 months to have a knee replacement & get orthotics to ease the back pain. I knew that the two were connected - but it took the doctors months to agree with me!!
Grandpa has been a 'taxi' driver - taking me here & there. We realize how lucky we are to have each other. I still am functional & do the cooking but Grandpa does more work about the condo & shops etc etc.
We will spend Christmas in Prince George with john & family. We will fly there Dec 20 & return Dec 27. We want to be home when Jordan, Charla & OG come.
We have gone for walks outdoors as there has not been any snow to amount to much. One has to be mobile otherwise the whole body will atrophy. The bottom half may be in pain, but the upper half is functional. I am glad that I have the use of my brains & hands - they are kept busy.
A quote I'd like to include -"To have character is better than to be one" _ Elder Russell M Nelson
Love to all
