Busy July
Hello -
I can hardly believe that July is almost over. We have enjoyed the month & were able to do some interesting things.
We got our tickets 'on points' for Hawaii Big Island for 2 weeks at the end of November. Hopefully we will have good weather. We have a 2-bedroom condo & have guests coming for one-week stays.
We were able to visit Aunt Marge in Pincher Creek & see the sites around the foothills. We also stopped in Calgary at the Redds & were also able to visit my sister Zennie & Grandpa's cousin Ray Young. Both were surprise visits
We canned apricots - Grandpa's favorite canned fruit. Made jams, chutneys, froze saskatoons which is another favorite. Grandpa went to a u-pic k place & brought me 2 ice cream bucket which I had to sort out & freeze.
Tomorrow I see my doctor who performed my knee surgery. I will see what he says. I am walking quite well, but still need rest. I would love to return to work in the Temple - but I find it hard to stand. So we will see.
Grandpa has gone to watch Hugo play football & accompanied Hu & Hugo to see the Junior Baseball Finals. Teams from many countries have congregated in Edmonton for this tournament.
We drove to Vegreville to visit my brother in the hospital but he was sent to the University Hospital where an operation will be performed on his ruptured gall bladder.
We hope to enjoy an annual pot-luck in our complex this week. My contribution will be a Sausage Pilaf - a family favorite.
We travel to Rosebud Theatre for their dinner theatre -Fiddler on the Roof. This is an annual outing.
I fly to Seattle to get reacquainted with the twins.
Enjoy the summer.
Love to all G & G
