Convalescents

Well, who would have thought we would come to this! Grandpa is recovering from his surgery at home. Grannie got excited about the good weather & went out on the deck to plant the flowers in their containers - then out to our postage-stamp yard to plant more . As a result, she is now confined to crutches suffering from such a backache she is virtually useless!! And what a birthday present to myself. Seems like some people will never learn. But we are taking care of each other. Hu came and emptied bags of soil on our prepared beds where we want to plant some shrubs. Hopefully we will get it done this year. I have had to cancel my Temple work shift as who wants a cripple around? Good thing I have some good reading material & quilting to keep me sane -
